Yesterday's know-how... tomorrow's solutions? conference, discussion, exhibition
One Thursday a month, come and explore the links between heritage and ecological transition! Yesterday's know-how... tomorrow's solutions?
What links exist between heritage and ecological transition? How can traditional know-how help us think about new ways of envisioning tomorrow's world? Is it possible to enhance our heritage and make a commitment to ecological transition?
The Groupement REMPART Île-de-France, the Ile-de-France delegation ofUnion REMPART, is organizing Thursday Rendez-Vous to explore these different questions and ask what brings together heritage enhancement and ecological transition.
This first evening of exploration focuses on two traditional materials: plaster and lime.
Tiffanie Le Dantec, heritage architect with a doctorate in history and head of heritage at the City of Angers, will help us (re)discover plaster, a material with a somewhat forgotten richness and interesting properties in the context of ecological transition.
Her talk will be complemented by exhibition panels showcasing uses of plaster and lime by REMPART associations in the Paris region, and demonstrating that restoring heritage or practicing an ancient art can go hand in hand with an ecological approach.
