Heritage and biodiversity: making it easier to live together
Yesterday's know-how... tomorrow's solutions? 6th and final meeting
Meet the secret inhabitants of our heritage and find out how to make it easier for them to visit our monuments!
What resources do historic monuments offer for protecting biodiversity? How can we restore and maintain our heritage in a more ecological way, so that the protection of buildings does not conflict with the presence of wildlife? What steps can be taken to overcome the culture/nature divide and ensure that the protection of cultural and natural heritage coincides?
To address these issues, the REMPART Île-de-France group is organizing a screening of Pascal Cardeilhac's documentary film " La vie sauvage des monuments : les résistants ", which explores five emblematic French heritage monuments where falcons, snails and geckos cohabit with the built environment. The screening will be followed by a discussion with Caroline Broussaud, the film's producer.
This screening will be accompanied by exhibition panels highlighting REMPART network member associations, who integrate a genuine concern for the protection of flora and fauna into their projects to restore and enhance built heritage.

This event is organized by Groupement REMPART Île-de-France, the Ile-de-France delegation ofUnion REMPART, which offers monthly "Thursday Rendezvous" to explore the links between heritage enhancement and ecological transition, through a variety of themes.
What links exist between heritage and ecological transition? How can traditional know-how and buildings of the past inspire us to think about new ways of envisioning tomorrow's world? Is it possible to promote heritage and commit to ecological transition?
