Yesterday's know-how... tomorrow's solutions? 3rd meeting
One Thursdaya month, come and explore the links between heritage and ecological transition! Yesterday's know-how... tomorrow's solutions?
What links exist between heritage and ecological transition? How can traditional know-how and buildings of the past inspire us to think about new ways of envisioning tomorrow's world? Is it possible to enhance our heritage and make a commitment to ecological transition?
This third evening will tell us stories about food. Food, water, essential resources: how can archives help us imagine a sustainable food future?
Gilles Daveau, a specialist in "alternative cuisine", will help us (re)discover legumes and cereals, foods that have played a fundamental role in the history of mankind, and that are so useful today for agriculture, health, climate, soil, biodiversity and access to quality food for all. More than a conference, this will be a time of discovery, storytelling and exchange, of concrete, practical and effective culinary solutions, for better eating without headaches or guilt. Not to be missed? A mini-tasting session to learn how to reintroduce, almost without knowing it, foods that are often forgotten.
The conference will be accompanied by exhibition panels created by REMPART associations in the Paris region. They will highlight a number of different ways of providing essential resources (food, water). Now heritage objects, these ancient structures invite us to question notions of autonomy and self-sufficiency, at different scales.
