De Bâtisseurs à Médiateurs, les enfants sont à l'oeuvre !
The network's associations welcome schoolchildren to their sites, and some even give talks in schools.
The Builders to Mediators project is a two-phase program designed by REMPART to help your pupils develop their knowledge.
PHASE 1: "Children as builders
On-site or in the classroom : raising awareness of heritage and architecture
A hands-on workshop to discover heritage and traditional crafts and skills: stone-cutting, stone carving, stained glass, medieval calligraphy, paving tile making, wood and cob construction workshops, an introduction to archaeological excavation, .... or building a stone cathedral or an arch, archaeology awareness, materials management and recycling through the ages...
PHASE 2: "Children as mediators
Accompanied by their teachers, pupils are invited to reappropriate the knowledge they have acquired. Child builders become child mediators, responsible for passing on their heritage to others (classmates, parents, etc.).) This can take many forms: an exhibition on heritage professions, a timeline of the commune's history, a poem on the history of the site, a photo report, a podcast, a show, a newspaper, ....
