Created in 1968, the Amis du Pic association has set itself the goal of restoring and enlivening the priory of Montverdun, one of Forézien's landmarks.
The initial general cleaning work was followed by the re-roofing of the priory dwelling and its gallery, and the construction of an apartment.
With the classification of all the buildings, the roofs of the church were restored.
From 1983 onwards, as an active participant in heritage preservation, the Association, affiliated to the REMPART Union, organized youth workcamps to restore the Priory.
These efforts have been rewarded with a number of prizes, including the Fondation des Pays de France prize, the regional Chantiers de Jeunes bénévoles prize, and the Chefs-d'oeuvre en Péril prize.
