The Association de Sauvegarde du Château de Calmont d'Olt was founded in 1998 after a decade of workcamps with friends. This collective adventure took an associative turn under the impetus of theREMPART Union, with the aim of saving the monument with the help of teams of young international volunteers. It opened its doors to all kinds of profiles, and for a few years became an integration project.

A public interest organization with educational, social, cultural and heritage objectives, it has been working to restore and enliven this listed historic monument since 1992. Today, the site is a medium for sharing and transmitting cultural, technical and historical knowledge.
