Presentation

CARMEN is an association governed by the French law of 1901, registered with the Journal Officiel on December 18, 1983. It brings together all those interested in understanding and promoting the heritage of eastern Normandy, with a view to opening it up to the public. The association has worked on a number of sites, including the Château de Radepont and the church at Epreville. CARMEN is currently working to restore and rehabilitate the Epreville church (Martainville-Epreville, 76), enabling volunteers from a wide variety of backgrounds to live and work together. It also aims to promote the integration of socially disadvantaged groups. C.A.R.M.E.N. works to integrate the findings of historical research into contemporary lifestyles through public communications, and by offering workcamps for the use of ancient materials using traditional methods: St Jean bricks, stone-cutting, carpentry, etcetera...
