Presentation

The REMPART association for the Thouzon site was formed on October 21, 1987. The restoration project was launched in the following terms: "The Thouzon site must regain its dignity and become a place of culture and history. It will be able to host exhibitions, conferences, concerts and shows. Its historical, geographical, geological and botanical qualities could be showcased to young schoolchildren and the general public. The establishment of a local museum will help to raise public awareness."

Since 1988, the association has organized a 2-week volunteer work camp in August. It brings together a dozen people aged 18 to 50 around the monument, with a large team of 4 to 5 people, all volunteers, to work on masonry, sculpture and sometimes archaeology under the supervision of a professional.

The association, which is involved in the "Patrimoine & Lien Social" operation, welcomes 2 young volunteers aged 18 to 25 who are registered with one of our partner local missions.
