Since 1967, our association has been working to bring back to life the remains of a castle that was in continuous use from the 11th to the 18th century, then partially demolished and completely buried.
The 15th- and 16th-century structures, and the 11th-century feudal motte supporting them, deserved to be safeguarded. Over and above the protection measures put in place as the excavation work progressed, since 1978 the association has been working closely with the Conservation and Architects of Monuments Historiques on a major program of permanent protection and development.
