Educational activities

Understanding and learning about heritage in its historical and social context means better understanding and learning about the society in which we live, and discerning the values on which it is built, so as to better integrate or challenge them.

Thanks to the lessons it teaches us, heritage awakens curiosity, a sense of observation and a desire to learn. It increases our tolerance and understanding of others, and fosters individual and collective appropriation of a common heritage that can be passed on.

Heritage education contributes to the individual's openness to the world around him or her, and thus to the training of citizens. The educational activities developed by REMPART associations aim to raise awareness of the notion of heritage, and the need to pass it on, maintain and restore it.

These activities can be carried out at any age, at school, with family or friends. The associations in the network can address a range of audiences: teachers and other mediators, building professionals, elected representatives and local officials, local populations...

EAC : Artistic and Cultural Education

REMPART's activities contribute to the development of creativity and sensitivity in pupils by enabling them to practice an art, visit places of culture and meet people involved in heritage sites.

Whether on-site or in-class workshops, discovery days or heritage stays, these actions encourage the implementation of cross-disciplinary projects from kindergarten onwards, and contribute to the artistic and cultural education of children and young people.

For all these activities, REMPART is accredited by the French Ministry of Education as an association that complements public education. This national accreditation reflects on its member associations.

REMPART and the Direction Générale de l'Enseignement Scolaire (DGESCO) have signed a framework agreement to strengthen links between the various players in the French education system and the associations in the REMPART network.Education and the REMPART network associations and, in particular, to encourage pupils to visit heritage sites on a regular basis.
