A national competition open to students in grades 5 to 12

The Patrimoine Environnement federation and the REMPART Union have joined forces to offer a national heritage and environmental discovery competition designed to raise awareness of local heritage among secondary school pupils in mainland France and the French overseas territories.
Two categories adapted to student level
Heritage Reporter category
Students in grades 5 to 9, accompanied by their teachers, are asked to write a 3-page A4 newspaper article on their local heritage (cultural or natural, movable or immovable, tangible or intangible), in connection with the theme of the edition.
Category: Heritage enhancement project
Students in grades10 to 12, accompanied by their teachers, will be asked to create a dossier presenting a project to enhance a local heritage of their choice (cultural or natural, movable or immovable, tangible or intangible). local heritage of their choice (cultural or natural, movable or immovable, tangible or intangible), in connection with the theme of the edition.
A transdisciplinary project
ID. Patrimoine is a competition that links knowledge. In this way, projects can be carried out to combine the disciplines taught, for example:
- French and Science: description of landscapes, importance of natural resources
- Mathematics and History : construction techniques, evolution of trades through the ages.
Depending on the built, natural or intangible heritage you wish to promote, other subjects can be involved: civics and ethics, geography, art, technology...,
The theme of the edition
Theme 2024: A rich past, a bold future
Study local heritage to understand its history and role. Open up perspectives on a current use or utility related to sustainable development (to be identified among the Sustainable Development Goals SDGs).
