Presentation

The Association pour la Sauvegarde du Château was created in 1972 by local residents determined not to stand by helplessly as a monument to their region's past glory collapsed.
The association's initial focus was on renovating the château, but the question soon arose as to how it could be reused. Restoration work is still a priority, but the association also intends to be active in setting up Historic Monument and technical courses, improving the visitor circuit, organizing exhibitions for schools and festivals, fitting out the gîte d'étape to accommodate heritage classes, and creating and maintaining jobs.

Various exhibitions for local schoolchildren are held at the château throughout the year, and classes from local elementary school come to visit the château.
Technical training courses in stone-cutting, blacksmithing and carpentry are organized at the château.

Various integration projects are carried out in collaboration with AFPA, the Léo Lagrange association, Amitiés Tziganes and Tédak.
