Presentation
Created in 1986 by the mayor of Asnières, the Association Patrimoine d'Asnières initially focused its activities on the promotion and enhancement of heritage (guided tours, volunteer workcamps).
In 1996, the association was accredited as a Heritage Center by the DRAC and the Rectorat de l'Académie de Nantes, and has since taken an interest in educational research (welcoming schoolchildren: heritage classes, days out, etc.).
In 2007, an agreement was signed establishing the association as a Heritage Resource Center for the Sarthe Valley region.
An accredited heritage center since 1996, the association offers a wide range of educational activities, adapting to the needs of teachers: heritage classes, stays, days, half-days...Themes covered include mural paintings, fresco techniques, medieval iconography, the workings of a seigneury in the Middle Ages, architecture in the Middle Ages, and the evolution of a village over the centuries.
There's also a fun way to discover the village: a treasure hunt at Asnières-sur-Vègre.
