Founded in 1985, Les Amis du Vieux Châteauceaux is an association dedicated to preserving the richness of the local historical and geographical heritage. It is particularly interested in the remains of the ancient fortress destroyed in 1420, and maintains the site so that the ruins can be freely explored.
Since 2006, archaeological campaigns have been carried out on the entire site: topography, various surveys, prospecting, excavation...
Educational projects are conducted with local schools and colleges.
In conjunction with certain legal structures, young people in difficulty come to help with site maintenance.
