Training and organization of volunteer workcamps

THE OBJECTIVES
Déclam' and Union REMPART Occitanie are organizing this training course for (future) leaders, volunteers and
volunteers and managers of heritage preservation associations. The aim is to give them the tools they need to manage a stay and welcome groups to a workcamp.

THE CONTENTS
The training program focuses on teaching methods, public issues and the overall logistical organization of an international volunteer workcamp. The aim is to enable trainees to grasp the responsibilities inherent in leadership missions, both in terms of the stay itself and its integration into the local environment. The training will be divided into theoretical and practical sessions in the village of Saint-Perdoux, near Figeac.
This course will run in parallel with Déclam''s adult workcamp. This will enable trainees to quickly put into practice what they've learned in training, as well as experience life in the group with the adult workcamp group.

ACCOMMODATION
Trainees will be accommodated at the Moulin de Buffan http://www.moulindubuffan.fr/ in Saint-Perdoux (46).
In the spirit of volunteer workcamps, meal preparation and stewardship will be managed collectively with the adult workcamp group.

THE SITE
In the Lot department, 9km north-east of Figeac, Saint-Perdoux welcomes you. At the end of a shady valley, its traditional houses nestle on a small promontory, in front of its magnificent 11th and 12th century church.

THE DECLAM' ASSOCIATION
Déclam' is a young association, created in 2009, whose objectives are to promote and develop rural areas, educate people about citizenship, participate in local projects and support dynamic local initiatives.
For us, heritage is a tool for actions aimed at promoting social cohesion, the sharing of "savoir-faire" and "savoir-être", in short, good living together!
Our actions take place in different villages of the Pays de Figeac. We are also active in other villages in the Lot, depending on requests and possibilities...

LIST OF THINGS TO BRING
To ensure your comfort throughout your stay, we invite you to bring along :
- Warm clothing, rain gear, cap or hat (be prepared for all climates!)
- Worksite clothing (including long pants, hard-wearing T-shirts suitable for the job site)
- Safety shoes
- Pencils and paper for note-taking
- Sleeping bag, double sheet and toiletries
- Other: water bottle, sunscreen, handkerchiefs....
- Identity papers and other important documents (health insurance card, etc.)
