Association de la tour du Viala du Pas de Jaux

The association of the Tour de Viala du Pas de Jaux was created in 1981 by the inhabitants of the village thanks to the support of the association of the Friends of the Château de Montaigut.
Its first objective is the safeguard and the restoration of the historic buildings of the village including a home of the knights of St John of Jerusalem, of the XIVth century, and an attic-refuge tower of five floors of the XVth century.
A few years ago, the association set up a circuit aimed at discovering a local heritage marked by the presence of the Templars. The members and the employees of the association thus endeavor to animate the castle throughout the year.
